After the first session, you will notice an immediate difference and a full look appearing. The 2nd and 3rd sessions are used to add additional layers of density to create the appearance of full, short hair, and eliminate any sign of hair loss. We spend a lot of time blending into your existing hair for a seamless and natural look and you won’t need to come back for around 4-6 years.

About scalp micropigmentation

Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a type of hair restoration treatment for those having experienced hair loss. This modern solution to hair loss, suitable for both men and women, replicates hair follicles by inserting small deposits of pigment on the scalp, offering the result of either a shaven look or a fuller head of hair. Other commonly referred to names for scalp micropigmentation include  SMP, hair tattoo, medical tattoo, and scalp tattoo.

The most common reason men come to us is because they’re losing their hair naturally. Known as genetic hair loss, male pattern baldness or Androgenetic Alopecia, this is the type of hair loss that is typically handed down through generations.

Scalp micropigmentation is a great way for men & women to create a thicker, fuller-looking hairline and crown by creating the illusion of hair follicles and darkening areas that hair loss is starting to show up. Stop wasting money on those powders, sprays, and medications and start feeling free again.

Men lose hair for a variety of reasons, and in a number of different ways. As a highly adaptable technique, scalp micropigmentation for men is suitable for virtually all scenarios, so whatever the cause of your hair loss, we can help.

Hair restoration websites are dominated by images of men, but women have significant hair loss challenges as well—and an even greater stigma associated with it. Causes of female hair loss can range from short-term stresses, pregnancy, and certain medications to more permanent hormonal changes, vitamin deficiencies, and traction alopecia (hair loss due to pulling and tension from braids, weaves, and over-styling).

Frequently Asked Questions

Scalp Micropigmentation )SMP) was developed as both a cosmetic procedure, for men and women suffering from all types of hair loss, and as a medical procedure to help conceal scars, burns, birthmarks, as well as the full spectrum of alopecia strains.

A typical scalp hair from a normal Caucasian male is about 77 micrometers in diameter (67 Um in those of Asian descent, and 120 Um in those of African descent). Typically, SMP dots placed in the dermis are 90 to 150 micrometers in diameter. This might seem a bit larger than real human hair, but when viewed from six inches or further away, the size is indistinguishable from real hair follicles. Often, even close family members standing one foot away (0.3 meters), cannot tell where your real hair ends and the SMP begins.

Our treatment includes 3 sessions, spread out 2 weeks apart from each other. The average Scalp Micropigmentation session is likely to last between 2-4 hours depending on treatment needs. The first 30 minutes will be used to discuss style needs, color selection, and hairline positioning. The remaining time is used to perform the procedure and issue after-care guidelines.

We are experienced professionals at matching colors, skin tones, and follicles. We use specialized ink that is divided into 10 different blends on multiple levels, allowing us mix and match them correctly to create any color or shade. Our experience allows us to not only match the color of your follicle, but also to match the size and shape, giving you the most realistic hairline possible.

Usually, your pigment should be fully settled within 2-4 weeks after your procedure. We provide post care guidelines that should be followed for the first week and after that, all we ask is that you protect your scalp with high SPF Sunblock when planning to be in direct sun. With that said, you should be able to go to work or out to dinner immediately following your procedure.

The look we provide is unbelievably authentic and realistic. Unless you told them, people will have no clue. Not one client we have treated has been noticed. It actually makes you look much younger with a more natural hair line. Check out our photo gallery. The most common responses are “you should shave your head like that more often” or “you look a lot younger, what did you do?” But they can never pinpoint what you did exactly. The only time anyone will be able to notice you had something done is if you go to an artist that has not been properly trained or doesn’t have enough experience.

The most popular length suggestion is a 00 guard which is done with a T-Liner but we do often have clients who prefer to razor-shave or foil-shave their scalp. We don’t suggest razor shaving as this will speed up the rate in which you would need to get touch-ups and will also affect the realistic look of the SMP blending into your natural hair.

The short answer is NO, since the carbon based pigment that we use does not change colors, but the final results of your procedure can look blue or green for a few different reason. The main reason for an SMP procedure looking blueish or greenish is the simply the inexperience of an artist. The 2 main reasons of this happening is if the pigment gets deposited too deeply in the skin, or the color chosen for your procedure is too dark for your skin color, the results can come out looking like a blueish or greenish tone.

No, most clients experience no pain to mild discomfort. The average client has expressed the pain level to be 1-2 out of 10.

Although it may be referred to as a hair tattoo, our inks do not change color after applying like a regular tattoo does. Our needles are inserted into the epidermis portion of skin, lightly tipping the dermis, which is more controlled and prevents ink from spreading. We also use single-use hand crafted micro needles which are 80% smaller than the needles that are commercially sold. Our machines and needles have been specifically designed for SMP. And finally, our technique is much different than a regular tattoo on the body – they go much deeper and shade color into your skin, while we are trained with a much lighter touch to create follicle replications in the scalp specifically. Although it may seem like a head tattoo, you should only allow a Certified, trained, and experienced SMP technicians to perform this type of procedure.
